Observation towers, observation places

The observation tower is located on the Landek Hill, which has been national nature monument since 1992. The five-metre-high timber structure in the style of watchtowers of historical fortified settlements has been built in place of the former castle.

Observation Tower of the Ostrava Town Hall

Vyhlídková věž Nové radnice Ostrava

The town hall of Ostrava is unique because it is the biggest town hall in our republic and also has the highest town hall observation tower (85.6 metres). From the observation deck at a height of 72 metres, when the weather is fine, one can get a view of the Beskydy and Jeseníky Mountain Ranges, the Opava Region and even nearby Poland. But most of all it provides a superb view of the whole of Ostrava, full of greenery.
